I have worn this one pair of tan Callidae breeches for some time now and I’m telling you, I liked them more than any Tailored Sportman pairs I own. Let me take a second to step on my soap box and tell you that there are so many wonderful breeches companies out there, so don’t get bullied into only buying TS breeches!! But I will save the rest of this rant for another blog post! Anyway, I love this tan pair of breeches, but when Callidae sent me this gorgeous outfit, I fell in a whole new level of love.
First, let’s talk about these breeches. This navy pair is the most gorgeous color. Every color comes with their signature yellow ankle elastic. This is one of my favorite details because they look so polished with a pair of shoes. So many other brands have odd elastic or unattractive closures that only look good covered in socks, but not these! I’ve slipped on ballet flats and a tee and ran errands in these breeches! The waist is also perfectly low-to-mid rise.
Now on to this killer top. This is The Practice Shirt in Cinder / Vines. I get so many compliments on this top and I think it is the first shirt that truly defines my ideal style. It is classy with the crisp collar, while being super functional with the tech fabric material in the rest of the shirt. White this look appears to be two tops, it is actually one: The collared shirt material ends at the neckline of the tech fabric shirt. How genius is that?! What’s even better is there are several colors and designs and I am determined to own them all.
Finally, the icing on the cake is this v-neck sweater. Callidae calls this powder blue hue “Flax,” and I loved how it complemented the other blues and navys in this look. Made of a cotton cashmere blend, this sweater is incredibly soft and breathable, perfect over a show shirt to warm up at a show. I loved styling mine with the Callidae Practice Shirt for yet another classy look.
Callidae is such a lovely company and I am telling you, is absolutely worth the investment. Every piece I own is of utmost quality. I would take a minute and check out what they have on their website! You will die over all of the shades of breeches and the patterns the Practice Shirts come in.
